Of all the labour movement bodies opposed at least on paper to the policies of the Wilson Government, the Assembly will be easily the biggest. It is already sponsored by over 40 Labour MPs and union bodies representing six million workers, and over 1,000 delegates had registered by last weekend with a fortnight to go.
