Uncorrected machine reading. This text was read by machine (Apple Vision OCR) from a scan of a newspaper page, and the page was cut into articles by machine, at the headlines found by their type size. Nothing has been corrected: expect misread words, text from a neighbouring article, and titles that are the machine reading of the headline, some of them only fragments. Quote from the scan, not from this page.
How this article was cut and titled: headline found by type size in the OCR geometry (split_tabloid.py); 1-2 of 7; machine-segmented newspaper page; uncorrected Vision OCR.

I WAS infuriated by Barry Prothero's inacurate neroeon ог me new film Word is Out (2 November). I ound ms review arrorant occausc ne assumed that everyone cock-sure as he seems to be about ine way gays should relate to one another.

As I saw the film it was a collage of the various ways in which American gay men and women conduct their relationships. And it was for this reason that such a large number of people were interviewed. They were not all couples and they were not all bourgeois: Barry Prothero should try harder not to confuse bourgeois with mere personal wage levels.

Further, the men and women did not alstrike me as being wen dajusica, ol the contrary. some of them seemed naive and still quite confused about themselves. Although there were a shown to be the only relationship: many of the people lived alone.

Finally, the man whose sexual encounters were casual and who was asked if this was healthy was not fed with a loaded question: it was a purposely polemical question that was designed to bring out that this man was not worse off or not enjoying life because of his casual affairs.

Yes, the film did shortcomings, but they were not quite as Barry Prothero in his zeal tries to prove. Tumink word is ouris tae best.
